What OhmPlay is for

OhmPlay offers free tools for learning electronics, control and robotics: calculators, simulators, guides and guided experiments. You can use them to study, teach or prepare your projects, without creating an account.

They are models for learning

Each tool uses an ideal model and explains its limits next to the result: perfect components, no tolerances, temperature or losses, unless the page says otherwise. The results help you understand and give you a first value to start from; they don't replace manufacturers' datasheets or a professional's judgment. Before building a circuit, check the values against the datasheets and with a multimeter.

Don't use these tools to work with household mains power (120 V or 230 V), electrical installations, medical equipment or any system someone's safety depends on. That work must be done by a qualified person following the applicable codes and standards.

No warranties

We check the calculations with automated tests and known cases, but the tools are provided “as is”, without any guarantee of a particular result. OhmPlay is not responsible for damaged components, materials, time or losses arising from the use of the results.

Content and trademarks

The site's texts, exercises, diagrams and code belong to OhmPlay. You may link to them freely and use them in your class with attribution; to copy whole pages to another site, please write to us first.

Third-party product names and trademarks that appear on the site (for example, Arduino) belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe what we explain. OhmPlay is not affiliated with those brands unless expressly stated.

Links and ads

The site shows or may show Google AdSense ads. Some Spanish-language pages include Mercado Libre affiliate links; the English pages don't. Links to other sites are provided for reference; their content and policies are the responsibility of each site.

Privacy

What happens to your data is explained in the privacy notice.

Changes

We may update the tools and these terms at any time. The current version is the one on this page.
